The Love Parade Moves to Essen
The Love Parade is one of the biggest and best events that once took place in Berlin, but recently has moved to Essen. Here people of all backgrounds wearing all sorts of weird costumes or even wearing nothing at all get together for one wild party. The main message is peace and love among everyone.

2007 is the first year of the move of the Parade. It used to take place in Berlin and roam through the Tier Garden, but this year plans have changed, moving the party to Essen, which is no where close to Berlin. This year for 2007 the biggest headliner for the event is Moby who has promised to perform. Every year they manage to get a big headliner to this event. For 2007 the parade starts on the 25th of August at 2pm in the Ruhr district. I am looking forward to Freddie Le Grand who should be performing “Detroit, I Love this City”

Love Parades Outside of Germany
Wikipedia:

Different versions of the Love Parade have been popping up around the world in places like Santiago, Chile; Tel Aviv and Mexico City. The Love Parade officially continues on in the city of San Francisco as they had held their inaugural Parade in September 2004 with 37,000 attending. The parade was held again in San Francisco in September 2005 as a rousing success drawing over 50-60,000 people. In 2006, the parade was held on September 23 and was renamed Love Fest due to the fact that the Loveparade Berlin organization did not renew any of their worldwide licenses not already under contract so they could focus on their own event. The first Love Parade in Santiago was held in 2005 and gathered over 100,000 people; the 2006 version gathered over 200,000 people. A Love Parade in Karanchi, Pakistan is on cards as of June 2007, however, the MQM has expressed severe reservations, and plans to host a Mullah Parade in Berlin instead to educate western societis about Islamic values, especially, concerning sexual moralities such as Nikah Ijtimah.
