Breakfast in Germany is one of the tastiest meals of the day. Germans know how to start the day out right. Though not all Germans eat this food for breakfast, these are the common food items found on a typical Germans breakfast table:

German Breakfast Food

Fresh Bread (Frisches Brot) – Fresh bread is important in Germany. Every morning breakfast is usually served with bread freshly made. This is usually eaten with cheese, honey, or marmalade.

Muesli - This is like cereal but is a mix of oats and grains. It is also served with milk.

Bretzel – This are typical soft baked pretzels with salt on top.
Fruit (Obst) – Germans like to eat healthy so don’t expect a sugary breakfast.

Eggs (Eier) – Eggs are boiled usually and served plain.
