I’ve asked myself this same question while living in Germany. The answer is that it is not at all easy. The more qualified you are for a position, the easier it will be to find a job.

Job Ideas
German American Institute – Here it is possible to work as an English teacher if you have a bachelor degree. You don’t need any teaching experience. They will however make you give a presentation.

American Army BaseAafes.com offers entry level positions as a cashier, janitor, as well as other possibilities. Most bases are in the south of Germany. Be aware that they pay in US Dollars and you will not get a lot of money.

Berlitz – They have English Schools all over Germany. They will even train you to teach.

Where to Look
