Ryanair.com offers really great deals. You might even find flights as cheap as 30 Euros from Germany to the UK or maybe even Greece. Everything seems like a bargain until you look at all the hidden fees they squeeze in.
Fee #1 Airport Transportation
Getting to and from a RyanAir Airport an be costly. Most RyanAir Airports are located no where near the city center. Take for example Frankfurt Hahn, it is nearly 2 hours from Frankfurt. Make sure to check where the RyanAir airport is located before you fly.
Fee #2 Bags
You will have to pay some 6 euros for each bag you take on RyanAir.
Fee #3 Check in Fee
Be prepared to pay upto 10 Euros for checking in at the airport. It costs 3 Euros just to check in online.
Your 30 Euro flight can quickly become a 50 euro flight if you aren’t careful. Make sure you carefully research your flight to see if you aren’t going to be spending more on additional extras than the flight itself.

Whilst this article gets the right picture about Ryanair, it’s a shame it’s so poorly written / supported. The figures are wrong, unjustified, and thrown at random. Please be more constructive next time…
In regards to the comment left by Anonymous, actually the original article is correct in that Ryan Air has hidden fees. And if the “figures are wrong” then perhaps it’s only giving more credit than is due. The hidden fees for Ryan Air are even MORE COSTLY today than ever before. Buyer’s beware! However, even with fees and odd locations for airports, one can save several hundred dollars if the airport is located near one’s ultimate destination.
Actually Ryaniar is not cheap, the ticket price looks cheap but when the taxes/fees are added usually about the same as the ticket price itself, you’re left with the same price that Easyjet had. I would just take Easyjet, try harder Ryanair, their model of not charging high prices for seats cannot be done. Planes need fuel and don’t run on air. I was looking at at rip to Malaga from London and the price looked juicy at first, but when you added the fees and taxes then it’s the same as Easyjet, why go all the way to Standsted when Gatwick is closer and the price is the same.
