In Germany, the meal time is a special time meant to be enjoyed and not ate on the go, though with the more and more entrance of fast food options, the meal time may be losing its meaning in Germany. There are a variety of quick options like McDonald’s, Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and my favorite, Turkish Restaurants.
A common German eating logic
1. Start the day eating like a Kaiser (eat a lot of food)
2. At lunch you eat like a King (somewhat good amount of food)
3. For dinner eat like a peasant (not a lot)
The logic behind this is that you should eat a lot for breakfast so you won’t be so hungry throughout the day. Eating like this is probably also a good way to lose weight, since you are burning your food off during the day.
