Trash in Germany, Germany Trash Bin Tips

The Trash in Germany has to be thrown away in different bins. For Americans, this can be confusing. I was used to throwing away all my trash into just one Trash Bin. That is a definite no no in Germany. In Germany, all trash must be thrown away into multiple Garbage bins.

A Few Germany Trash Bin Tips
Trash Can Colors
Yellow – plastics and metals.
Brown – biodegradable.
Blue – paper goods.

Trash Needs to be Seperated
You need to put paper, biodegrable, and glass all in separate bins. This is for proper recycling in Germany.
