Getting a Germany Tax Refund, Global Tax Refund

Remember that while visiting Germany, you are allowed to get a global tax refund on all purchases in Germany that you buy within the first 3 months. Once you’ve reached past the 90 days, you lose your ability to save on the taxes.

High Tax Rates in Germany
Consider that the tax rate is very high in Germany. Generally taxes on goods are 19%. if you are from the US, you know that this rate is extremely high in comparison.

Getting a Global Tax Refund
When purchasing clothes are anything expensive in Germany, ask the shop to fill out a global refund paper for you. With these papers, you will save on the tax of the item. Make sure you save these forms with the receipts. When in the airport getting ready to fly back home, make sure to get your global tax refund papers stamped in Germany. If you make it home, it will be too late.

    didn’t find out about the global refund until late in our trip. have receipts bot not the proper refund checks. is it too late to get any refunds?
