"don't mention the war i did once bit i think i got away with it!!"..... "Out of approximately 100 million native speakers of German in the world, about 75 million consider themselves Germans. There are an additional 80 million people of German ancestry (mainly in the USA, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, France and Canada) who are not native speakers of German, as well as some Alemannic Swiss and Austrians, who may still consider themselves ethnic Germans. Therefore, the total number of Germans worldwide lies between 75 and 160 million, depending on the criteria applied (native speakers, single-ancestry ethnic Germans, partial German ancestry, etc.). In the U.S., 15.2% of citizens identify as German American according to the United States Census of 2000. Although the percentage has declined, it is still more than any other group."

Yeah its quiet true, even i, as a german would say that germans are colder than other people...
But number one, that no one is crossing the sidewalk on red lights is again a bit to much... i dont know anyone who is not crossing the sidewalk if there are no cars... u shouldnt do it as a role model for children, but thats the only thing about it...

I have experienced the complete other way over here in new zealand... people are warm, u make fast lots of friends, the people just care about each other...
which leads me to the point, why germans are so cold... Germany has traditionaly a very busy society and lots of over-qualificated personal, to get a good job u need to look'/act only for urself, otherwise u will end up washing dishes or pick up rubish from the streets.. U could say a priority of all workers are unhappy in their jobs.. german life is just far too much stress..
