There are plenty of attractions in Bonn, Germany. Not only did I study in Bonn, but Bonn offers plenty to do. I’d even go so far as to say that Bonn is my second favorite Germany (just behind Berlin).

Bonn, Germany a former Capital
When Germany became divided, they west needed a new capital. They chose Bonn which remained the capital until after reunification to which Berlin became once again the capital.bonn

Alter Zoll
This is definately the best viewpoint in the area. At this attraction in Bonn you can see the best views of the Siebengebirge mountains. With Zoll meaning toll, this was also the old location of the toll you had to pay to enter the city.

Beethoven-House
Beethoven was born in Bonn and they take great pride in this. In fact they recreated Beethoven’s birth house and turned it into a museum (though honestly I didn’t really find it that great).

Botanischer Garten der Universitat Bonn
Located in the center of the city it’s not only a great place to walk around, but just some really great gardens.

The Rhein
The Rhein is in itself an attraction in Bonn, Germany. The Rhein flows alongside Bonn and makes it also one of the best reasons to visit. (just look out for those naked swimmers.)
