Of course Germans might like to tell you that they much skinner than the United States as well as most people in Europe, but the truth is far from it.  The fact is, people in Europe are becoming just as fat as Americans.

According to the Deutsche Welle, a study found that in regards to overweight people in Germany, it “found that 58 percent of men and 42 percent of women carry around too much weight, an increase of two percent from 1999. Married people and former smokers are those most likely to be overweight.”

Those ex smokers? “71 percent are considered overweight compared with 51 percent of current smokers.”

The truth of the matter is, though Germans might tell you they are skinnier, they really aren’t.  Fast food is having just as much an impact as it is in the United States.
