German Sauerkraut Recipes, Potato Sauerkraut, Apple Sauerkraut

Sauerkraut, it’s one of my favorite foods in Germany that also has a lot of tasty recipes including Apply Sauerkraut and Potato Sauerkraut, two wonderful ways to cook sauerkraut for those who like it as much as I do.

Recipe for Potato Sauerkraut
This is more of a Potato Salad Sauerkraut mix.

3 1/2 c. sauerkraut, drained
6 c. diced cooked potatoes
2 hard boiled eggs, chopped
3/4 c. mayonnaise
1/2 tsp. paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Combine sauerkraut, potatoes, and eggs. Toss lightly. Add remaining ingredients and toss lightly and chill. You may also add diced onions or peppers or celery. Recipe via cooks.com

Then there is Apple Sauerkraut mix
Basically for added flavor take some older apples, cut them up and stir them in with the Sauerkraut. It will give the sauerkraut a nice apple taste and makes sauerkraut taste even better.
