Spain wins the Euro Cup, Germany Shocked in Defeat

We saw it on their faces a second time for this final, Germany looked in shock as they lost the Euro Cup championship. Is it harder to lose in the finals than early in the tournament? I would say so. With all their hopes going toward finally winning a tournament since 1996. In 2006, Germany thought it would be their year, but with shock they last in the quarter finals.
With the Euro Cup over, the clearly better Spain, as Spain dominated most of the game. The mood in Germany has certianly got to be down, even though some fans are out there blowing horns trying to overcompensate for their wounded pride.
Overall I’m glad Spain won the Euro Cup, they really looked like they deserved it. They were playing much better than Germany and had a lot more passion for the game.

Of course I was and I still am a little bit sad that we lost the game last night. But I have to say Spain had the better team not just last night. They played fantastic games the hole Euro 08. So they really deserved the victory. The last weeks were a little bit like the World Cup in 2006. You could watch a soccer game every night and you could be excited every night. It is hard to go back to the daily life again now without soccer.
Third place in 2006, second place this time and 2010 we will be #1:-)
