Germany is planing to make immigration for those that are highly skilled a bit easier.  Of course the move is only smart as many industrialized nations such as Germany often have a shorted of highly skilled labor.

Reuters: “The German government plans to allow in more immigrants with advanced skills but extend limits on low-wage labour from new European Union countries until 2011, according to a draft of the measures obtained by Reuters.

Germany’s population has been declining for several years and industry has been urging for changes to allow skilled labour in more easily.

Most industrialised economies suffer from a lack of highly qualified workers but as the world’s biggest exporter of goods, including billions of euros worth of complex machinery and equipment, Germany is particularly vulnerable.”

Of course this doesn’t help out the lesser skilled workers who are not as qualifed as most.  They won’t get any breaks.  Though they probably shouldn’t considering Germans already high shortage of jobs.
