Organic Cigarettes Banned in Germany

By admin | Sep 5, 2008

Germany has banned the sale of so called Organic Cigarettes because “The concept ‘organic’ implies that such a cigarette is not harmful.”  The cigarettes were made with 100 percent organic tobacco and even the papers biodegradable.  Sounds like a great idea, but in Germany organic often implies quality and seen with fruits and food being sold as organic.

Therefore since these Organic Cigarettes are still harmful they have been banned.  My question is, will they go by a different name?  It seems like a great idea for the environment for those who smoke and would be a shame for them to have to shutdown completely.
