Yes people still ask the question about what language people speak in Germany. Of course many might not always be clear as to which languages people speak in Germany.  Well anyone would clearly answer, German, people speak German in Germany!  But, you would be forgetting about the other languages also spoken daily in Germany.

* Romani 0.08%
* Danish 0.06%
* North Frisian 0.01%
2 million people speak Turkish in Germany.

Many Germans are now also learning simultaneously learning English as first language alongside German.
