Typical Traditional German Food in Germany

By admin | Oct 16, 2008

In Germany whenever I land I have to take a bit out of the traditional food found in Germany.  Take for instance the following German food that is traditional and typical for Germany:

Sauerkraut: Everyone knows sauerkraut and yes this is a typical German food.  Trying eating it with an apple mixed in.

Schupfnudeln: This typical potato noodle is more typical for southern Germany, but it also goes good with sauerkraut.

Munich White Sausage: Though it looks strange, this is some of Germany’s finest sausage and quite uniquely tasty.

Thuringiner Wurst: This sausage is typical for the thuringen region, but found throughout all of Germany.

Beer: Ok beer isn’t food but it helps wash it down.  You won’t have trouble finding some of the best food around.
