Germany finds Obama to be a good choice and has high expectations for Obama. Just think of the pressure for Obama. Not only must Obama live up to Germany’s expectations, but fix the economy, address the war issue, and keep good relations.
Several senior German politicians welcomed the idea of working with Barack Obama as U.S. president, with analysts hopeful that German-American ties will intensify.
Even I working in Germany had a note on my computer congratulating me on Obama’s win. Americans did something that Europe has never done: elect a person of color as head of state and commander in chief.
