Germany Controversy Over Google Street View

By admin | Jun 5, 2009

Streetview from Google was set to photograph streets in Germany, giving a streetview from major cities in Germany, a practice that has already been done in the USA providing more than just overhead views.

Google uses automated software to blur that information from photos.  However, German officials are concerned about how long that raw data, the unblurred data from Germany will kept by Google before being deleted.  So far Google Street View is not yet live in Germany.

Google Street View is live in about 100 cities in the United States, and hopefully soon also in Germany.
