Germany Inventing the Next Electric Car

By admin | Sep 20, 2009

There is a lot of research currently underway in Germany for finding the next electric car.  Germany is currently the home to such car companys as BWM, Volkswagen and Mercedes Benz.  It is only fitting that a lot of electric car research is going toward inventing the new form of transportation that will not only be better for the environment, but revolutionize our lives.

According to LA.com Germany has set a pretty impressive goal. “1 million of them (electric cars) on the road by 2020. Of the 41 million cars in the country, only 1,452 are electric.”

Germany is also the country that only lets you drive your car if it meets certain air standards.  They even restrict less environmentally friendly cars from driving in certain neighborshoods and areas.
