Nazi Man on Trail in Germany for Crimes

By admin | Oct 28, 2009

There still are a few Nazis left to go on trail such is the case with an ex nazi hitman in Germany who is going on trial for the death of 3 people.  Just recently, Heinrich Boere went on trial Wednesday.  This trial takes place in the western city of Aachen. He is being charged the 1944 murders of three Dutch civilians in reprisal for partisan attacks.

If this former Nazi is convicted he probably will spend the rest of his life in prison.  Protesters outside the courtroom held up their own signs protesting against Nazis.  In Germany it is common to see anti Nazi graphite in places everywhere from buildings to inside train stations.

Boere had been lucky enough to escape jail, actually having been sentencces back in 1949 to death.  It took all this time to finally get the trial underway, and about time.  He had been able to live most of his life without paying for his Nazi crimes.
