New Record Level Solar Power in Germany

By admin | Nov 9, 2009

Germany has plunged into Solar Power development with record levels of Solar Power development in Germany.  In Bloomberg I recently read that “about 2.5 gigawatts of production potential may be switched on this year compared with a record 1.5 gigawatts last year,” said Martin Simonek, solar analyst in London.

The new total of Solar Power in Germany would equal 7.8 gigawatts which is about the same as 4 coal plants.  Already consumers pay something like 3.15 euros a month to fund these projects. However most seem happy enough to support the initiative that is setting Germany on a green standard.

Germany seems to be the world leader in Solar Power as shows with these new record levels that have been reached.
