Taking a Bus Within and To Germany

By admin | Nov 18, 2009

One of the cheapest options to get to Germany, especially at the last minute, is by bus.  The bus system offered by Eurolines offered both last minute and preplanned cheap travel to almost every major European city.  While I have personally never used the bus system in Germany, the prices are one of the most attractive features of this form of travel.

The travel distance however is not as attractive.  This means of travel means sitting in a cramped bus seat for up to 9 hours.  You could take the overnighter and try to sleep the 9 hour journey, which is probably the best option for most. A day bus trip would probably just seem unnecesarily long in comparison.

If you are tight on a budget, consider traveling by bus throughout Germany.  If you are short on time, this is probably not going to be your best option.

Try using eurolines.com to find a bus.
