The Berlin Wall Falling Celebrated in Germany

This marks the 20 year anniversary of the Berlin Wall falling in Germany.  They are celebrating in Germany the nostalgia and the reunification of Germany that happened 20 years ago after the wall fell.

That day being celebrated in Germany, the Berlin Wall day, was a day that was a celebration for everyone. According to Yahoo News: “Tearful families reunited. Bars gave out free drinks. Strangers kissed and toasted each other with champagne.”

Germans didn’t have a past that they could be proud of, but the falling of the Berlin Wall, gave Germans at least one day to have pride and celebrate their culture.  It was a chance to look forward and build something new.
