Germany Still Paying World War Debts

By admin | Dec 8, 2009

Believe it or not but Germany is actually still paying off it’s World War 1 debts. As Pravda reported “Germany still has to repay its debt associated with World War I. According to Boris Knapp of the German Finance Agency, “The amount still owed for interest and clearance payments is around 56 million Euros,” Germany plans to pay off its “Versailles debts” by October 3, 2010.”

You can’t start a war and get away with not paying your war debts. Of course earlier in history these war debts highly put Germany in a high burden and allowing for even the Nazis to come under power.

Of course there are even World War 2 debts being paid out, some to even former Jewish camp workers forced to work.
