Traditional German Spekulatius | Food

If you like traditional German food, then stick with Spekulatius, a traditional spice cookie from the western German border.  Even in other western European countries these are known as  Speculaas which are basically  pressed into a special wooden mold to create an imprint. You can find this mold for spekulatius in stores like cookiemold.com or some people go as far as to make them their selves…

If you are pressed for time, you can just use   standard cookie cutters.
