Sleeping at Hostels in Germany

By admin | Feb 16, 2010

There are many good hostels in Germany and in fact the term Hostel was started in Germany. In August 1909, the German teacher Richard Schirrmann had been caught in a violent thunderstorm on an eight day migration with his pupils and found accommodation in a barn by a farmer. He thought that there should be more places for the youth to go and thus the term youth hostel had been created.

Ever since that day hostels have been springing up in every corner of Germany and the entire globe. These hostels offer youth travelers and even old, the chance to sleep for much less, by sharing rooms with other people. If you haven’t stayed in a hostel, try it in Germany. They offer many hostels for less than the cost of even a low cost hotel.
