Germany’s Merkel Pushing for Euro Stability

By admin | May 1, 2010

In Germany chancelor Markel is pushing for rules to ensure further euro stability. According CanadianBusiness.com “The debt crisis of euro-member Greece has rattled the currency and irked Germans who have been forced to help bail out Athens in order to prevent further damage to the euro. Germany has been reluctant to move ahead with legislation needed to free up the euro8.4 billion ($11.1 billion) that it would pitch in to help out Greece.”

This seems to present a problem with Germans unwilling to help in turn can make the euro even less stable. Still the euro seems to be relatively stable at the moment staying at around $1.33 dollars to purchase 1 euro.
