How to get a Work Permit in Germany

So you might be wondering the same question I had often been wondering: How to get a Work Permit in Germany?

1. Marry a German
As soon as you get married, you are given full access to Germany just like everyone else who lives and works in Germany. Though, finding the love of your life, yet alone a German Woman or Man who would want to marry you is another question. Typically marrying age in Germany seems to usually be around 28. Also most aren’t really to jump into a huge commitment right away. Sorry, there is no Las Vegas in Germany.

2. Find a Job
This can be another daunting task. Not only do you have to prove you are capable of doing a job that not many Germans can, you have to find an employer willing to go through the process with you. Try reading my job advice here.

3. Study
If you take classes in Germany, you will be allowed to work park time, 20 hours per week, within Germany. This may mean not making that much, but isn’t some money better than none at all? Register yourself in a course somewhere and register with the city, you will be allowed to stay, study and work.

4.Work Illegally?
This is not a very great option since you could get caught and deported. No one likes having to work in fear do they?

Finding a Job in Germany… Work Online

Finding a job in Germany can be challenging, as I have written on other posts, if you succeed in finding a job, the pay may be low because 1. There is no minimum wage in Germany or 2. They might not give you enough hours or even 3. They just won’t want to deal with the paperwork required in the first place.

One way I have been able to earn money and still live in Germany is by working online.

How does it work?
Anyone can get paid on the internet for doing various tasks like writing, calling, or even tutoring. http://www.problogger.net/ and http://www.wahm.com/ offer job board that are updated daily that list jobs that can be done on the internet.

My other website, http://www.clickfornick.com/search/label/jobs lists a number of ways to make money online, which include taking paid surveys.

If all else fails?
Create your own job. Put up flyers around your city in Germany offering a service such as a paper correction or after school tutoring.
